Ski lodges, ski
chalets, villas, houses, gites, cottages and holiday accommodation
for rent in Val d'Isere France
Val d’Isère is a perfect ski
holiday destination, surrounded by a vast skiing area with a
wide variety of challenges.A total of 90 ski lifts and 300 kms
of beginner to expert runs make up the famous Espace Killy.
The skiing area is shared between Val d’Isère and Tignes and thanks
to the ultra modern ski lifts and a hands free lift pass
system there is little queuing. The excellent quality of the
snow and permanent slope grooming ensure ideal skiing
conditions.
Val d’Isère, its
villages and hamlets are strung out along the valley at 1850m
altitude. The Daille, the Crêt, the village, the Laisinant,
the Fornet, and towards the Manchet valley, the Joseray, the
Legettaz and the Chatelard are linked by free shuttle buses
and each can also be reached on skis via the slopes.
The first lift was
installed in 1936 and the Val d’Isère Ski Lift Company was
created in 1938 with the road over the Iseran mountain pass
opening in 1937.
